Stainless Steel Electropolishing Services

Stainless Steel Electropolishing or also known as chemical polishing is a controlled removal process that imparts a highly reflective finish on stainless steel alloys. This process removes free iron that is embedded into the surface from the manufacturing processes compared to normal passivation processes that can only remove surface contaminants. Electropolishing can also diminish scratches, burrs, sharp edges, heat tint, and oxide scale. During the Electropolishing process the RA ( surface roughness average ) can be reduced up to 50% depending on the material being used. Electropolishing improves the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel creating a ” super passivated surface ” far more superior than just passivation.

Do you have tight tolerances ? CEP can help with this by measuring the RA values before, and after controlling the removal rate to a minimum of .0002 avg.

We can process parts up to 44″L x 33″W x 27″H CEP can process to ASTM B912.

We service many different industries including Water Sanitation, Dairy, Ag, Medical, Aerospace, Power Transmission / Distribution, and Petrol Chemical Industries.
